Networking Through Local Businesses event a success

On April 9, four members of the Fredonia State Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team hosted a Networking Through Local Businesses Happy Hour at 41 West Bar and Grill in downtown Fredonia.

SIFE is an international organization that mobilizes university students around the world to make a difference in their communities while developing the skills needed to become socially responsible business leaders.

The group got local business people to come and talk to junior and senior students from Fredonia State about what they look for in potential employees, and how they got themselves established in the business world. Representatives from AXA Advisors, Express Personnel, the Maytum Company, DFT Communications, Netsync, and Enterprise came and spoke to the students.

The event was considered a success, as many students were thrilled to obtain first-hand information of what it takes to succeed in today's economy and business world, and the business people were excited for the chance to get to share their knowledge.

The SIFE team wishes to thank all of the business people who took time out of their day to come to this exciting event, and to 41 West for allowing the event to be held there.
